Marc is an experienced financial educator and retirement distribution specialist in Dana Point, CA. He is passionate about showing his clients how to drive around the numerous roadblocks that come with planning for retirement.
Marc has developed a specialty in working with retirees, and those about to retire, who want help with preserving their principal with the goal of making their money last. Marc helps his clients avoid some of the common mistakes made by retirees so they can focus on living, not worrying. He has the ability to simplify complex ideas and present them in a clear easy to understand roadmap.
Marc has honed his technique through over 30 years in practice. Before starting his own business he was employed by the tax departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles and Deloitte & Touche in Washington, D.C.
He teaches two popular courses at the University of California – Irvine for veteran financial planners and CFP candidates. Developing and Managing a Financial Planning Business is an intensive workshop that enables financial planners to focus on the critical areas with the goal to make clients happy. Income Taxation for Financial Planners is a full semester course that covers the practice knowledge requirements for the CFP exam tax section and discusses relevant strategies for today’s environment.
Marc is a graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he received his degree in Accounting. He also attended Golden Gate University, where through evening studies he obtained his Masters degree in Taxation. Marc is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner, which required him to take an eighteen month course of study and pass six rigorous exams, proving his comprehensive knowledge of personal financial issues.
